3303910 - How to configure fallback event reason?

• System throw error message "The fallback event reason configuration does not exist. Please create a fallback event reason configuration for special events on the Manage Data page." on change of job information or comp information.
• When customer is editing the initial record in compensation information, we get an error "The fallback event reason configuration does not exist. Please create a fallback event reason configuration for special events on the Manage Data page.". For Hire Event of Compensation information corresponding record creation in job information is creating this error.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• This issue appears if there are any crossportlet rule assigned and trying to update hire record.
• System standard try to update job info with existing event reason but for hire rehire record it is not correct
• In such case Fallback event reason will be used to update job information or com information

• Please complete Fallback Event Reason configuration 
  1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Data.
  2. Select Create New: Fallback Event Reason Configuration.
  3. Add the following data:

     • Code: This field is the external code.

     • Status: Set to Active or Inactive.

       You can only have 1 configuration set to Active in the system.

     • Default Fallback Event Reason: Select the event reason.

       This is used in all cases if no mapping exists.

  4. Optional: Configure the mapping. Select an event and then the fallback event reason if you want to differentiate between individual events.

     For a Hire event, then Fallback Event Reason is Data Change.

  5. Save your changes.
