3304237 - Error Message When Releasing Lease Contract: Defaults of Valuation View Missing in Fine Tuning of Asset Class

You want to release Lease Contract XYZ but an error message appears: "Defaults of Valuation view XX missing in fine tuning of asset class DEF." (XYZ represents the lease contract ID, XX represents a valuation view ID, DEF represents an ROU asset class)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. In the Lease Contract Management work center go to the Lease Contract view.
2. Find lease contract XYZ and press Edit.
3. Press Actions and choose Release. 
4. The error Defaults of Valuation view XX missing in fine tuning of asset class DEF" appears. 

There are valuation views assigned to the used set of books which are not assigned to fixed asset class DEF.

Maintain all valuation views assigned to all set of books used by the company.

Example: Lease contract XYZ is created for company AAA which uses set of books GHI.

To identify the valuation views:

1. Access the Set of Books Integrate and Extend activity in the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select set of books GHI and press Edit. 
3. Go to the Fixed Asset Settings screen. 
4. Here, you notice valuation view XX as well as YY (YY represents another valuation view ID). 

Both valuation views, YY as well as XX must be assigned to asset class DEF.

To maintain the valuation view for the ROU Asset class:

1. Access the Lease Management Accounting fine tune task.
2. Choose the Edit ROU Asset Classes link. 
3. Find ROU asset class DEF. In the Details section, in the Default Valuation Settings you notice valuation view YY. But valuation view XX is missing.
4. Press Add row and find valuation view XX. 
5. Maintain all further, relevant details, according to your business needs.
