3305054 - Failed to log on to BI launch pad or Central Management Console (CMC) due to missing allowed.cms setting

Symptom

  • Error: Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS '<server>:<port>'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2151044 on the SAP Support Portal. (FWM 20030) occurs when trying to log in to BI launch pad or Central Management Console (CMC)
  • Meanwhile, the login works well when perform login in client tools like Central Configuration Manager (CCM)
  • If testing in the same server machine and trying to log in to BI launch pad or Central Management Console (CMC) with system as localhost:6400, it fails as well.
  • The issue may start from the system has been upgraded to:
    • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 Support Pack 09 Patch 12
    • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.3 Support Pack 02 Patch 9
    • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.3 Support Pack 03 Patch 1
