3305250 - Usage of Token [[APPLICATION_PROFILE_URL]] in the email trigger "Application Updated Candidate"

Symptom

Is it possible to use the token [[APPLICATION_PROFILE_URL]] in the email trigger "Application Updated Candidate"?

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an email template in Manage Recruiting Email Templates
  2. Add the token [[APPLICATION_PROFILE_URL]]
  3. Link this email template to the email trigger "Application Updated Candidate"
  4. Click on Validate Standard Tokens
  5. Warning message appears: Invalid tokens configured in email template

Cause

The token [[APPLICATION_PROFILE_URL]] is currently not supported for the email trigger "Application Updated Candidate".

Resolution

If you wish to improve the product and have this token supported for the email trigger "Application Updated Candidate", feel free to express your interest by voting on the existing Idea https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/250734

Workaround:

Using a deeplink it is possible to build a hyperlink. 

From the implementation guide Deep Links in Recruiting we have a link that can be used: /sf/recruiting/jobApplicationSummary?jobapplicationid=<value> 

The <value> can be populated with the Application ID token: [[APPLICATION_ID]]

So to create a link for a recruiting operator who has access to view the application we can build the URL with the root URL of your environment.

For the example below the root URL is from a demo and the format is HTML hyperlinking text (added via Source):
