Symptom

Bulk importing products showing error message "invalid excel file for importing".

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter in Setup;
  2. In Import/Export, enter bulk product import/export;
  3. Import file containing product data.

Cause

Bad template causes issues with the import feature, e.g. merged columns or copy paste.

Resolution

In a new sheet, copy the columns that contains data and import it.
