3305817 - Scheduled document does not reflect just the one selected value for the variable but all the data unfiltered in SAC Analytics Cloud (SAC) story

• When selecting one specific value for one specific variable in the variable dialog in SAC story, then scheduling story, the above set prompt is not reflected in the scheduled document.
• Meaning that the data is not filtered accordingly and returns all data for the variable instead of just that one specific selected.
• User tried to create a bookmark that stored the same variable prompt selection, but the scheduled document still didn't return the data according to that filter selection.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

1. Login to SAC.
2. Go to affected story and for variable "Sales Group Assign" select value "29G".
3. For the other variable values use the default ones.
4. Notice the story is filtered by the selected values.
5. Schedule Publication.
6. Filter data not necessary in output.
7. Notice that data is not filtered in the publication output.

• The "Keep Last saved values" check is required only for publication view/bookmarks. There has to be no change required at the story level for the publication to work. (If the checkbox 'Keep last saved values for dynamic variables' is not checked, it will always use the dynamic value irrespective of values selected during schedule creation. )
• Hence if the story contains dynamic variables and prompt values selected need to be retained in generated PDF/PPTX, the option 'Keep last saved values for dynamic variables' should be checked during schedule creation/updating in all the views/bookmarks.

The "Keep Last saved values" check is required only for publication view/bookmarks. There has to be no change required at the story level for the publication to work.
