3306991 - Route Group is Saved as Draft in Dynamic Visit Planning

You noticed that the Route Group in Dynamic Visit Planning was saved as draft automatically.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Navigate to Dynamic Visit Planning Work Center.
2. Go to Route Groups Work Center View.
3. Click New (+).
4. Fill in data and leave one/few mandatory fields empty.
5. There is no Save as draft option.
6. Click save.
7. See the error message "Failed to change route group status. Mandatory attribute ABC cannot be empty" (where ABC is the mandatory field).
8. Close the creation view.
9. Go back to the Route Groups View.
10. The Route Group will be there with draft status.

When the Route Group is created from UI for the first time, a draft Route Group is created and saved immediately. This is to prevent data to be lost in case the tab is closed or browser or the network disconnects.

From the UI, if all the mandatory attributes are filled and saved, the Route Group will automatically be In Preparation status.
