Symptom
You are trying to add a Time Account Rule for an Employee, however the system shows the error below:
Sufficient Quota Required for Posting on DD.MM.YYYY to Account ABC
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Time Administration work center and Employees view.
- Search for the affected Employee ID.
- Go to the Time Profile tab.
- Go to the Time Accounts Rules.
- Click Add Row.
- Add the required Time Account.
- Click Save.
Cause
The error appears due to changes done in the custom holiday calendar assigned to the employee, after the applied leaves were deducted in the year of the error message from affected time account.
As you are trying to add a new time account effective from a older year, the system recalculates all the time account balances considering time model, holiday calendar and other time accounts related configurations.
Resolution
If your intention is to add the time account ABC for the employee effective since the start of time profile, then please be aware, it is going to recalculate all the assigned time account balances back from that date to the present day and there is possibility the balances could change if any configuration changes were done without correction run.
In this case, you need to fix the previous year’s custom holiday calendar/correction run, as some holidays in year YYYY that were not deducted from the affected account, are no more been taken as holiday and are now getting deducted and hence, changing the balance for previous leaves.
If that is not the intention, then you would consider adding another time profile in order to avoid the recalculation for the past years’ time account balances.
