3307200 - Error "Form XML Data is Missing" While Trying to Open Preview Document.

Symptom

While opening preview document it throws below error:

Mandatory parameter form xml data is missing.

ADS Render Failed Mandatory parameter form xml data is missing.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to WorkCenter (Example : Purchase Order)
  2. Open Order ID .
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Choose Preview.
  5. Choose Open.

Below error occurs:

Mandatory parameter form xml data is missing.

ADS Render Failed Mandatory parameter form xml data is missing.

Cause

Document size is too large for successful rendering.

Resolution

This is expected behavior as there is a limitation on ADS for rendering documents between 15-20 MB.

Remove few attachments and proceed to open preview document.
