SAP delivers a version of python, a third-party software, included as part of the SAP HANA installation, installed to $DIR_EXECUTABLE/Python3 folder. The version of python that SAP includes is determined by a variety of factors including things such as, but not limited to:
•Python's software support lifecycle (deprecation of old versions)
•Whether or not HANA is affected by a specific python product defect
•Software security vulnerabilities
Customers may have their own third-party software upgrade lifecycle or security or company policies that require use of a newer or different version of python than the one SAP delivers with HANA.
