Metrics have "invalid" status with message: "Missing values for variables in SIGNAL query. Metric result unavailable"

SAP Signavio Process Intelligence

In SAP Signavio Process intelligence -> Open a process -> go to Metrics tab -> the metrics defined has "Invalid" status. 

There are variables defined in the SIGNAL query of and no value has been set for the variables.
