3308218 - Connection error happened between CPI and S/4HANA ABAP

Symptom

  • The following error appears while trying to post XML data from SAP Cloud Integration tenant to S/4HANA system using SOAP adapter:
    • Message processing failed.
      Processing Time: 33 ms
      Error Details
      org.apache.cxf.interceptor.Fault: Could not send Message., cause: java.net.ConnectException: error 111 - Connection refused (Connection refused) (local port 35046 to address 10.130.xxx.xxx (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-6c53), remote port 8000 to address 172.xx.xx.xx (ip-172-xx-xx-xx.xxx.internal))
          
  • The error persists after following SAP KBA 2418879 - Information about IP ranges / addresses on SAP Business Technology Platform
