3308918 - Open Client: The code execution cannot proceed because libsybct64.dll was not found - SDK FOR SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE client utilities such as isql.exe and bcp.exe does not start with the error below.
    System Error
    [The code execution cannot proceed because libsyb*.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.]
  • From the error, it saying that missing 4 files below:
    • libsybblk64.dll  (libsybblk.dll for 32-bit)
    • libsybct64.dll  (libsybct.dll for 32-bit)
    • libsybcs64.dll  (libsybcs.dll  for 32-bit)
    • libsybcomn64.dll (libsybcomn.dll for 32-bit)
  • All required VC++ redistributable packages are installed
  • SYBASE environment variable correctly indicate the Sybase installation directory
