3309529 - Employee Cannot be Terminated due to Pending Time Records

You are trying to terminate an employee, however there are errors regarding pending time records which are preventing the completion of the process.

1. Go to Personnel Administration.
2. Click on the view Regular Tasks.
3. Select the country from the tabs on the top of the screen.
4. Click on the task Terminate Relationship with Employee.
5. Fulfill the required fields in the termination screen.

When clicking to save, the errors are shown. 

When an employee is terminated, the system performs several checks to ensure that data is consistent. One of these checks is regarding the time accounts, in which a time account that was deleted cannot have account balance adjustments for a date after the deletion of the account.

For example, the employee had a time account X (where X represents the ID of the time account) which was removed on January 1st. However there is an adjustment on the account with Posting On date as February 1st (after the date of the removal of the time account).

This is the expected system behavior.

In order to terminate the employee, the adjustment needs to be manually removed.

This can be done following the below steps:

1. Go to Time Administration work center.
2. Click on the Employees view.
3. Search for the employee and click on Edit.
4. Navigate to the Time Profile tab.
5. Select the currently valid time profile.
6. in the bottom panel, navigate to the Time Account Rules tab.
7. Add a new rule with the time account X.
8. Navigate to the Time Account Balances tab.
9. Select the added time account X.
10. On the bottom panel, click on Adjustments.
11. Here you will be able to see the adjustment with the date after the removal of the account.
12. Click on the Remove Button.
13. Now go back to the screen of step 6 and remove the account again.
14. Save the changes.
