3309597 - Error: "Source logistics area is not valid for product, Inventory in logistics area not available"

When you are trying to confirm the Production Task, system throws below error though on-hand stock is available:

  Source logistics area is not valid for product, Inventory in logistics area not available

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control workcenter.
2. Go to Task Control view
3. Find required Task ID.
4. Select and Choose Confirm.
5. Now select required Line item and choose Propose Quantity and Logistics Area.
6. System throws error for specific product: Source logistics area is not valid for product, Inventory in logistics area not available

Line items in a Task is already confirmed and confirmations got created, stock is allocated hence Allocated indicator is set.

However while reversal of the confirmation does not remove the indicator therefore it displays stock is allocated.

1. Go to Production Control workcenter.
2. Go to Task Control view
3. Find required Task ID.
4. Select and Choose Confirm.
5. Select required Line item and choose Cancel Allocation
6. Perform Save. Now again select the same line item and row.
7. Now, choose Propose Quantity and Logistics Area
8. System assigns the inventory.
