3309634 - Migrate Views in Productive System is failing with error message "Items of type Custom CDS Views must not be edited in this tenant" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2SL

When trying to Migrate Custom CDS Views in Productive System, it's getting the error message "Items of type Custom CDS Views must not be edited in this system".

Custom CDS Views are part of Key User Extensibility and therefore are allowed to be changed only in Test Systems and not in Productive System. The Key User Extensibility changes need to be transported with the apps Export Software Collection and Import Collection to be productively available and usable. 

Migrating the views is considered a change to these objects, so the message "Items of type Custom CDS Views must not be edited in this tenant" is expected and means that the Custom CDS Views should not be edited in Productive System but in Test System. 

 

 

 

Use the Test System to migrate Custom CDS Views and then transport the changes to Productive System using the Export Software Collection and Import Collection apps.
