3309687 - Settlement Rule Amount only in Controlling Area Currency

Symptom

In the settlement rule, it is not possible to enter a currency key for an amount in order to use an amount rule with a different currency.
In particular, you want to use an amount rule in a different currency for CO objects in which there is a different controlling area currency and object currency.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

In settlement, the amount of an amount rule always refers to the values in the controlling area currency. In the settlement, the remaining values in different currencies are settled with the same portion.

If you want the values of the settlement sender to be settled completely, you can use a settlement rule with equivalence numbers instead of an amount rule. You can enter the amount in the other currency without decimal places as an equivalence number in the distribution rule so all values to be settled are distributed according to portions. In this case, however, you might have to accept rounding differences.

It's also possible to use Percentage Rates, in order to avoid currency and rounding differences.

Note: You can check your Currency settings with Configuration Activity / SSCUI - Define Currency Settings for Ledgers and Company Codes. The controlling area currency is always the client currency (30).
