Error Party <ABC> Does not Exist or not valid for this role; while checking consistency for Custodian Goods Return Notification. (ABC represents a dummy value)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Inbound Logistics work center.
2. Navigate to the Inbound Delivery Notification view.
3. Search for the relevant Custodian Goods Return, select and choose the Edit button.
4. Choose the Check Consistency button.

You get the above reported error message.

• You have not maintained any value in the Sender ID field for the return notification.
• The value in Sender ID field should be business partner ID of the sender who created the delivery note and shipped the product.
• This will be the Account ID mapped to the custodian in your system.

• If you check the consistency once the above Account ID is maintained in the Sender ID field, the reported error message will not be displayed any more.
