3310013 - SAP Data Services unable to interpret directory separator "\" in the file path - SAP Data Services 4.x

Symptom

  • A Job reading from a file format object fails with the following error message 'Cannot open file <D:ProgramDataserver_eventlog_yyyy-mm-dd.txt.idx>. Please check the files path and  permissions.'
  • The Job server is interpreting the file path incorrectly, instead of reading D:\ProgramData\server_eventlog_yyyy-mm-dd.txt.idx it's removing all directory separators and tries to read D:ProgramDataserver_eventlog_yyyy-mm-dd.txt.idx instead
