3310144 - CPQ-VC: One of the characteristic groups is missing in CPQ configurator UI

Symptom

Characteristic/Tab is missing from Configurator UI.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ integrated with SAP Variant Configuration.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Quote
  2. Configure a Variant Configuration Product
  3. See that there is a tab missing but it is being shown in the Payload.

Cause

Expected Behavior.

Resolution

  • To sync the tabs from the backend, one option needs to be selected in setup, otherwise tabs will not be overridden and CPQ will be the layout master

  • It  should be enabled the parameter "Override product layout to match backend" ( Setup -> Providers-> Providers-> SAP-> SAP Variant Configuration and Pricing).
