3310286 - 'Output quantity exceeds input quantity' Error in Actual Cost Rollup Run

 An error is raised upon execution of Actual Cost Rollup Run:

'Output quantity exceeds input quantity'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the Periodic Tasks view -> Actual Cost Rollup subview.
3. Find the respective Run ID and Execution ID (which contain Error) and open it.
4. Move to Messages tab
5. Notice the error below for Material ID ABC (ABC means the Material ID):

'Output quantity exceeds input quantity'

The error indicates that the Material ABC has consumed more than the available inventory quantity which will lead to negative inventory quantity.

This can be checked by the on-hand quantity of referred material for the period in which the Actual Cost Rollup run has been executed.

To correct the error, you need to add enough stock with back-dated posting before the consumptions were done which led to negative stock.
