Symptom
Create a person type (example: person type employee) in manage business configuration tool in the employmentinfo section. And make sure you set a difference in person type vs the main employmentinfo. Now note when you go to an employee and do a termination that the field settings (like visibility and if mandatory) are ignored on what is set in the person type and still based on what is set in the main Employmentinfo.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Suite
- Employee Central
- Manage Business configuration (BCUI)
Reproducing the Issue
- Go into Manage Business Configuration tool
- Go to employmentinfo HRIS section
- Choose to create a new person type (For example create employee person type: employmentinfo_Employee).
- Make sure you select a field that shows up during termination (example: last Date Worked) and change the visibility or mandatory setting for this field so that it differs from main employmentinfo
- Select an employee and do a termination. Note how the mandatory or visibility setting for the field are ignored in the termination UI screen and still will reflect on what is set only on the main employmentinfo HRIS section.
Cause
Currently person types are not supported in the Termination UI screen.
