3311713 - Competency Description Error: Invalid value for property 'description'

When entering the description for a competency, receive an error message:

Invalid value for property 'description'

SAP SuccessFactors Center of Capabilities

1. Navigate to Manage Center of Capabilities
2. On the left panel, select Competencies > Select a competency
3. Click Edit > Enter text into Description box > Save > Receive error message

The byte count has exceeded system limitations.

The system has a limitation of 4,000 bytes in the competency description field. Text will need to be removed so characters are under that byte count.
