How to block updates to time entries in older months via Microsoft Excel

The feature to block updates to time entries is tied to ESS time sheet only. Uploading times via excel is considered to be more an “admin task” – so the feature is not applicable there. Also, the way our timesheet works is that in 95% of cases, time entries can be saved in the inactive state. Only where there are data inconsistencies is when the Save is prohibited. If this feature was also taking excel upload time entries, it results in a large number of inactive times, which is a pain for the administrator to clean up.
