3313289 - Field Person Responsible auto-populate in Project Task

You have noticed that when clearing the field "Person Responsible" in a Project Task, after saving, the same field auto-populate with the responsible person of the Project.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Select the work center Project Management
2. Select the Projects view
3. Search, Open and View All the Project ABC
4. Under Project Plan > Gantt Chart, select the task ABC.1
5. Remove the actual Person Responsible and Save: the same or another responsible person will be auto-populated.

You can replace the person responsible with another one and save, but you cannot keep the field blank as the Person Responsible from the main task always repopulate the field.

This is a standard functionality in ByD.

If a checklist is assigned to a task, you cannot clear out the responsible employee.

If it is blanked out,  then the responsible person for the project or the one above in the hierarchy will be proposed automatically.
