3313308 - Email Template Upload Not Working

Symptom

When trying to Upload a HTML Template an error occurs - 'Uploading File is not supported' and the template is not saved.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Templates.
  3. Create a New Template of any type or edit an existing Template in the syste,
  4. In the Documents Tab, add a HTML file.
  5. Select a Language and click on Save.
  6. Notice that error occurs.

Cause

Uploading of html files are prohibited in the system. MIME type for HTML files are not activated in the system.

Resolution

File extension for upload of HTML files can be added by following below steps:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Data administration.
  3. Go to MIME Types for Attachments
  4. Add MIME type 'text/html' with corresponding extensions in the allowed list and click on the Activate toggle.
