3313734 - HANA point-in-time recovery fails with "rc=17: File exists"

Symptom

Point-in-time recovery using log backups and full backups is failing and the following error message appears in backup.log -

ERROR RECOVERY RECOVER DATA finished with error: [448] recovery could not be completed, volume 0, reached log position 0, [2050001] System error: /usr/ sap/HEP/SYS/global/hdb/backint/HEP_NSRCOMPLETEBACKUP_FULL_02_20230227130702_backup_databackup_0_1, rc=17: File exists

The output of hdbbackupcheck is OK.
