3313884 - "CTS Communication System" and "CTS Upload System" details hang in HALM with "An internal error occurred" or "Unknown Error"

Symptom

When you navigate to the SETTINGS tab in HANA Application Lifecycle Management (HALM): 

  • http://<FQDN>:80<NR>/sap/hana/xs/lm/?page=SettingTab
    OR
  • https://<FQDN>:43<NR>/sap/hana/xs/lm/?page=SettingTab

the CTS Communication System and CTS Upload System details never finish loading:

You may see either:

  • "An internal error occurred"
    OR
  • "Unknown Error"

Note: Due to the nature of the issue, it may take a considerable amount of time for either exception to appear after navigating to the SETTINGS tab in HALM. At a technical level, connection attempts to reach the CTS system will have to timeout before an exception becomes visible in HALM.
