3314592 - Editable field group is automatically selected when no Default group is configured in Cart Fields Administration

• When no Default editable field group is selected in Cart Fields Administration page, at least one editable field group is still activated in the Quote.
• As a result, one or more Quote Item Custom Fields (QICFs) or standard fields are displayed as editable text boxes, while the remaining editable fields are displayed as links.

SAP CPQ

1. Navigate to Setup.
2. Open Cart Fields Administration.
3. Edit the required Status.
4. Ensure that the Default checkbox is cleared for all editable field groups.
5. Open any Quote.

Result:
At least one QICF or standard field is displayed as an editable text box, while the remaining editable fields are displayed as links.

• This behavior is expected by design.
• When no editable field group is marked as Default, the system sorts the visible columns configured in the Personal Quote Layout page according to the internal sorting mechanism.
  The editable field group associated with the first visible column is then selected as the active editable field group.
• An active editable field group must always exist.
• Therefore, it is recommended to configure one editable field group as Default.
