Symptom
- The business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_CR_DCD_DISPLAY_PC comes with license category advanced. Still It is not containing any apps and it is read-only.
- The business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_SA_EXTACDOC_PC only required to be able to navigate from the app Display Billing Documents to the Actual Accounting Document. Still, comes with license category advanced.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
Resolution
Please, note the following points.
- The catalog is not empty. It contains App but without any tile.
- This catalog is basically meant for users who want to navigate from a sales/billing document to subsequent applications (ex, accounting document or credit decison).
- Users in accounting do not require this catalog.
Note :-
Display catalogs have a special pricing logic and they are downgraded.
In case a role is read-only it falls back from advanced to self-service regardless what the catalogs price tag is. So in case the user has only display authorization in his business role it's price category is then self-service, even if some of the catalogs assigned are "advanced".
But if the user has change authorization and e.g. add some catalogs as price cat. "Core" and the catalog for displaying with category "Advanced" is assigned in the role, then the role is treated as advanced.
