3314939 - Issue adding attachments to billing document output in Manage Billing Document app in S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

Customer tries to use the 'drag and drop' functionality to add attachment in billing document output, but an error message appears in Manage Billing Document app: "attachments of sent output items can't be changed". 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Billing Documents app.
  2. Open the invoice, enter in 'edit' mode and add an attachment.
  3. Then in 'output items' session, double click at 'attachments' button and use the 'drag and drop' functionality. 
  4. An error appear: "attachments of sent output items can't be changed".

Cause

In S/4HANA Cloud system you cannot add an attachment to output with 'To Be Output' status. 

Resolution

In order to add the attachment to the invoice output, please be sure:

  1. You are in edit mode 
  2. The output status must to be in 'in preparation'
