Symptom
You have used the PTP Time Data Replication to replicate planned working time data from Employee Central to an SAP Payroll system. Thereby, you have mapped the attribute Holiday Class of public holidays in the Holiday Calendar of Employee Central to the payroll entity holiday class.
With release H1 2023, the functionality of public holidays in Employee Central has been enhanced significantly. New entities have been introduced. The field Holiday Class in Employee Central is now deprecated, though it can still be used for compatibility reasons.
Correspondingly, the mapping of public holiday data in PTP Time Data Replication has been enhanced significantly. In particular, the old field Holiday Class in Employee Central should no longer be mapped to the payroll entity holiday class. However, for compatibility reasons, one cannot simply replace the old mapping for holiday class with the new mapping that is recommended starting with H1 2023.
You want to switch from the old mapping of public holiday data to the new mapping of public holiday data such that the new mapping applies starting on a certain key date, while the old mapping still applies for all planned working time data before that key date. This KBA explains how the mapping for PTP Time Data Replication can be set up to assure this.
