3315464 - What is the "sensitive" attribute for?

Symptom

What is the function of the "sensitive" attribute for Recruiting xml fields?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

The "sensitive" attribute can be used to identify sensitive personal data of a candidate in the system, specifically on the candidate, application and offer templates.

“Sensitive Personal Data" is personal data, revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership; data concerning health or sex life and sexual orientation […].

SAP SuccessFactors provides a Read Audit function that helps to identify who has accessed the sensitive personal data of internal or external candidates at your company. When Read Audit is enabled, sensitive fields are included in read audit reports if the candidate or someone else accesses sensitive personal data of the candidate.

To configure a field as sensitive, ensure that both the sensitive and the anonymize attributes for the field are set to true.

For more information about configuring fields as sensitive for Read Audit, refer to the Setting Up and Using Data Protection and Privacy guide.
