Symptom
- Unable to save Suppress Formula.
- Cannot save Conditional Suppression Formula of a new Text Object in the latest version of Crystal Reports.
- Able to save Conditional Suppressuib Formula of a Text Object in older version of Crystal Reports.
Environment
- SAP Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03
Reproducing the Issue
- In Crystal Reports 2020, open a report.
- Insert a Text Object on the report.
- Right-click on the Text Object, and select "Format"
- In the Format Editor window, under the tab "Common" click on the "X-2" button of the option "Suppress"
- Enter a conditional suppression formula, and click on "Save and Close"
- Back to the Format Editor, notice the formula icon on the right side of the Suppress option turns red.
- Close the Format Editor window.
- The Conditional Suppression formula disappeared.
Cause
- Regression issue in Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03
Resolution
- The issue is resolved in the following version of Crystal Reports and above:
- Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03 - Patch 200
