3315543 - Unable to save Conditional Suppression Formula of a Text Object in Crystal Reports

Symptom

  • Unable to save Suppress Formula.
  • Cannot save Conditional Suppression Formula of a new Text Object in the latest version of Crystal Reports.
  • Able to save Conditional Suppressuib Formula of a Text Object in older version of Crystal Reports.

Environment

  • SAP Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Crystal Reports 2020, open a report.
  2. Insert a Text Object on the report.
  3. Right-click on the Text Object, and select "Format"
  4. In the Format Editor window, under the tab "Common" click on the "X-2" button of the option "Suppress"
  5. Enter a conditional suppression formula, and click on "Save and Close"
  6. Back to the Format Editor, notice the formula icon on the right side of the Suppress option turns red.
  7. Close the Format Editor window.
  8. The Conditional Suppression formula disappeared.

Cause

  • Regression issue in Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03

Resolution

  • The issue is resolved in the following version of Crystal Reports and above:

    • Crystal Reports 2020 - Support Pack 03 - Patch 200
