3316028 - TLS handshake failure after upgrade to SAP IQ 16.1 SP05 PL06

Symptom

  • Upgrade the SAP IQ to 16.1 SP05 PL06, some client applications using SSL failed with the following error:

    dbisql -nogui -port xxxx  -host xxxx  -c "UID=xxxxx;pwd=’xxxxx’;Encryption=TLS(tls_type=RSA;trusted_certificate=/tmp/trusted.txt)"
    Could not connect to the database.
    TLS handshake failure
    SQLCODE=-829, ODBC 3 State="08S01"
  • Not all the SSL connection failed, some client applications still able to connect using SSL.
