3316381 - Unable to create Geo map location dimension in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Throws element restrictions error when selecting the dimension for location id.
• Error: Sorry, we are unable to create a location dimension containing more that 1,000,000 elements. Please try different columns.

Product version: SAP Analytics Cloud 2.0
Database: BW import

1. Log in to SAC.
2. Create a model selecting From a Data Source.
3. Select On-premise.
4. Select SAP BW.
5. Select the Connection name and click on next.
6. Enter the query name and search for the query click on next.
7. Select the measures and dimension click on create.
8. In There appear prompt for Geo by Coordinates.
9. Expand Identifiers, select a dimension for Location Id.
10. Get the warning message : "Sorry, we are unable to create a location dimension containing more that 1,000,000 elements. Please try different columns."

• Currently this is product limitation.

• This limitation is in the geo enrichment

• Dimension members: 1,000,000
  • Dimension members with geo enrichment: 200,000
  • Dimension members with parent/child hierarchy: 150,000 (for other kinds of attributes, the 1,000,000 limit applies)
