Symptom
Contact Information line at the top of job application displays candidate data such as First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Cellphone Number, and Email Address. Cover Letter and Resume can also be accessed from this section. Is it possible to hide these fields from certain recruiting operators?
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- To hide application fields from operator, ensure the operator is not given any "read" or "write" permission to the field. Note that "none" field permission is not being used in any recruiting templates.
- Check the Contact Info line of the application and the field is still visible.
Resolution
These fields in the Contact Information line at the top of the job application are hard-coded and cannot be hidden even after removing all the permissions of the recruiting operators.
Even if operator is not granted any permission, these fields (first name, middle name, last name, cellphone number, and contact email) are still visible.
On the other hand, if operator has no permission for Cover Letter and Resume fields, the label/texts will still display but are no longer clickable.
