3316777 - Actual Finish Date Is Not Appearing at Project Task Level Under Scheduling Tab

Symptom

Actual finish date is not appearing at project task level.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Project Management work center
  2. Go to Projects view
  3. Search for the relevant Project 
  4. Status of project is "Closed"
  5. Choose the relevant Task 
  6. Navigate to Scheduling Tab
  7. You can see Actual Dates
  8. The finished date appears blank

Cause

The "Finish Date" field is not applicable at the task level, as per the current system design. 

Resolution

The "Actual Finish Date" at the project task level is manually editable by the Project Manager and is not automatically set by the system.

If you wish to populate this date automatically, it can be achieved through a PDI solution. The date field is available for PSM (Public Solution Model) write access. For implementation, please reach out to your partner development team.
