Symptom
As of the 1H 2023 release, you are required to migrate to the new Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth authentication method from JWT in order to continue using Zoom as a VLS vendor for meetings and webinars.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Resolution
Note: There is a detailed implementation guide in PDF form attached to the bottom of this KBA, please review this guide in detail before and during implementation. If you are not a VSaaS (Validated) customer, please make sure to use the 2H 2023 version.
The below links are subject to change per Zoom. You can engage with your account executives or CSMs to get implementation assistance from SAP Professional Services or Certified Partner. SAP Support cannot provide assistance in Zoom settings/configurations outside the information provided in the SAP guide.
If implementing Zoom for the first time post 1H 2023 release, use the VLS Guide for the steps required in Learning. A new VLS Server will be created and the PDF guide attached has the steps required.
If there is an existing Zoom integration that utilizes JWT, without making changes to implement Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth authentication method, all SAP SuccessFactors Learning API calls to Zoom will fail. You will be unable schedule or change a session, register users, or get attendance until the Zoom VLS Server configuration in Learning is updated. Please follow the PDF guide attached for the steps required to update to the new authentication method. For information on the JWT to Server-to-Server transition, please visit this Zoom resource:
