3318610 - 1H 2023: Read Access Logging (RAL) of Download Reason

With the 1H 2023 release, we are announcing the Read Access Logging (RAL) of Download Reason. 
We are also announcing the release of Read Access Logging (RAL) of Download Reason for South Korea.
With this change, you can enforce users to enter their reasons when downloading sensitive personal data. Download reasons entered by users are included in read audit reports.

Product enhancement

Prerequisites:

1. Ensure Download Reasons is enabled in Manage Audit Configuration >  Read Audit

2. Ensure the extracted fields contain sensitive personal data (this can be verified in the API Data Dictionary – sap:sensitive-personal-data = true)

3. Make sure to enable this feature in Manage Audit Configuration; you will need the following permissions:

• Administrator Permissions  > Admin Center Permissions  > View Read and Change Audit Configuration

• Administrator Permissions > Admin Center Permissions  > Edit Read and Change Audit Configuration

Important:

- Please note that by "sensitive personal data" we are referring exclusively to those fields which have been marked as sensitive (e.g. for entity User, this could be the ssn or the ethnicity)

- The audit features are mostly disabled in Sales Demo systems due to the generated data volume, so you may not be able to view the "Read Audit" functionality under Manage Audit Configuration.
