Symptom
It has set a Default Time Profile on the Employee Time File and left the Premium Pay field blank on the timesheet. On the employee's timesheet the Compensation Tab reflects two different Compensation Rates for Overtime. The transaction is posting at the correct rate, however, the timesheet appears to show the time being posted twice, two different rates and you would like to understand the reason.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Time Administration Work Center.
- Go to the Time Recording View.
- Select the Employee and click Open Time Sheet.
- Select any time and go to Compensation information sub tab.
Here we can see two entries.
Resolution
It might be occurring because it has been maintained a different option of "US0001 - Regular" in "Default Value for Premium Pay" in Default Values for Time Recording activity. As a result, the system will consider the chosen option as Premium Pay when no Premium Pay is selected while time recording by user.
In order to confirm that, please, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
- Go to the Overview View.
- Search for Default Values for Time Recording and open it.
- Check the option selected in Default Value for Premium Pay.
There it is possible to confirm the option maintained for Default Value for Premium Pay.
