3318946 - Independent requirement could not be deleted when project demand is closed

The independent requirement could not be closed/deleted when corresponding project demand has been closed.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2302

1. In app "Project Control - Enterprise Projects", create an enterprise project and release.
2. In app "Manage Project Demand", create Material Demand with Demand Type: Project Stock, Preliminary Procurement regarding to WBS you created in step 1.
3. Request the demand, Planned Independent Requirement(PIR) is created automatically which could be check in app "MD04".
4. Close the Material Demand, you'll find the Independent Requirement is still there in "MD04" but not deleted or closed.

This is the intended behavior.
That's because when PIR is created, it's possible that MRP run also happens.
This would create succeeding Planned/Prod Order or Purchasing Requisition(PR).
In the stock segment you would see the entries of both PIR and the corresponding PR/ Prod Order.
In case we delete the PIR when the demand is closed, the PIR would get deleted in cases where production order has been created as well.
This would be mean the link between demand and PIR is lost.

If your business keep to request deleting the PIR created by project demand,
try deleting the PIR in app "MD62" manually.

Or if you do not want the PIR quantity to be considered for the MRP,
mark the quantity as 0 in the demand.
