3319323 - Does SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) have a similar functionality as the characteristic relationship?

In BW-PLA-IP (BW Integrated Planning), there is a functionality called Characteristic Relationship. See https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BI/Characteristic+Relationship.

You would like to know if there is a similar functionality in SAC.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 

If you plan to implement the SAC model with the BPC live connection, this feature is supported.
In the case of Characteristic Relationship, the relevant cell is disabled for input. The table messages show the details if you hover over the warning icon at the left top corner.

If you plan to implement the SAC model with the import connection, there is a similar feature called the Validation Rule (aka. Dimension Combination Rule).
