3319334 - Sybase ASE server hung and processes stuck in runnable state

Symptom

  • Processes may appear hanging due to being in a runnable state while waiting for the diskmap lock held by an ALTER DATABASE to be released. Also the HK WASH process seemed blocked by replication main process. When trying to kill that spid (replication process), it got stuck now in a runnable state. Also 'alter database' on one of the databases completed but stuck in a runnable state too.
