System Readiness Checklist
To prepare your system and data for the enablement of Talent Intelligence Hub, a readiness checklist is provided below. Some customers have different scenarios which will determine which path should be taken for the migration.
Customers with no Job Description Manager (JDM) or Job Profile Builder (JPB) data in the instance cannot enable and use Talent Intelligence Hub at this time.
If you are using JDM (You can access Manage Families and Roles from the Admin Center), please review the following considerations:
- Customers who migrate from JDM > TIH are not required to enable JPB. If you choose to enable JPB after the migration you'll still need to correct all JDM/JPB check tool errors and complete the JDM > JPB migration.
- If you have no plans to use JPB, please reference 3327912 - Migrating JDM data to Talent Intelligence Hub - 1H 2023.
- If you plan on enabling JPB, please instead follow the below:
If you are using JPB (You can access Manage Job Profile Content), some customers have the Job Profile Builder appearance but the system is recognized as being on Job Description Manager. Please follow the below steps to determine which migration path you'll need to follow:
- Determine if the JDM to JPB Migration has taken place
- Log into the system
- Navigate to Admin Center > Scheduled Job Manager
- Select the Job Monitor tab
- Locate the Job Type dropdown and search for JDM Old to New Sync
- Review whether a result appears
- Correct migration path depending on whether a result is displayed in Scheduled Job Manager
- If you have JPB AND you do have a result in Scheduled Job Manager, you are on Job Profile Builder. Please follow the migration documented in 3328015 - Migrating JPB data to Talent Intelligence Hub - 1H 2023.
- If you have JPB AND you do not have a result in Scheduled Job Manager, you are on Job Description Manager but your data has been managed in Job Profile Builder. This will require the migration from JDM to JPB, then JPB to TIH. The documents to follow in order are:
Still Need Help?
If you need assistance with the migration, customers can exchange experiences with each other and ask questions of our migration and adoption experts in a new Work Zone group. In order to be admitted into the group, please send an email to SAP_SF_Product_Advisory@sap.com. All group members will also be invited to Office Hours calls, that will take place from time to time, and according to necessity. More information is posted in Everything you need to know about: SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub.
If you have migration or Check Tool errors, we kindly ask you to follow the corrective actions specified in each KBAs to resolve the identified issues. In the event that an error persists after you've executed our recommended solutions, please contact your Implementation Partner - in case you are not working with one, you can check the KBA 2261006 - PartnerEdge: Engaging PS or Partners for Implementations, Change Requests, New Program Development, Process Change & XML Configuration to know how to contact an Implementation Partner.
And if you still required help from Product Support, open ticket(s) detailing the specific error(s) left. This facilitates the process of bringing your issue to the attention of the right teams within SAP, who are responsible for distinct components of the Talent Intelligence Hub.
Your cooperation in creating distinct tickets for individual errors allows us to expedite the resolution process. Simultaneous handling of multiple individual tickets eliminates the delays that come with compilation of all issues into one unique ticket, thus enabling faster error resolution. This is also part of our Support policies as explained in KBA 3353188.
