  • Enabling integration between SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft365
  • With the integration of SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft 365, users can now start a Microsoft Teams chat from an employee's quickcard or profile header.
  • Publishing the  SAP SuccessFactors app to Microsoft Teams, so that it's available from customer organization's Teams app store for  their employees.

We have new configuration page  available  in Admin Center  for setting up integration between SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft 365   in  “Work Tech Configuration” page.

You  need to have  Administrator Permissions Manage System Properties ->  Work Tech Configuration permission  to access this work tech configuration page

-> Enabling Basic Integration with Microsoft 365

      To enable  integration with Microsoft Teams chat , a simple task needs to performed from the Work Tech Configuration page 

  1. Go to Admin Center  -> Work Tech Configuration.
  2. In the Enablement section, choose Enable Integration.


-> Enabling Extended Integration with Microsoft 365

  As per the  customer organization's business requirements and preferences,  customer can choose to set up the integration to  use  SAP  SuccessFactors in Microsoft Teams,

 this activity need to be performed from Microsoft 365 Admin once they  receive  or able to download the SAP SuccessFactors for Teams app package from Work Tech configuration page

-> Publishing the SAP SuccessFactors App to Microsoft Teams -> Available only for Legacy App

  Publish the SAP SuccessFactors app to Microsoft Teams , so that it's available from your organization's Teams app store for your employees to access SF from Microsoft app

With the release as of March 4th 2024, a new SAP SuccessFactors app will be available from the Microsoft Teams App Store.

You may choose to search for this app in Manage Apps and install this app for all your users in the organization to replace the old app.

This change is made to reduce your administrative chores in downloading, uploading, and upgrading app packages every time we deliver new features. It also enables users to explore the app themselves and increases exposure.

If you are already using the Legacy App, which was downloaded via SuccessFactors > Admin Centre > Work Tech Configuration Page, then we highly encourage you migrate to this new App.

Important: The previous legacy app, which is the custom SAP SuccessFactors App package (zip file) that you downloaded via the Work Tech Configuration page of the Admin Center will reach End of Maintenance and be Deleted as of the 1H 2024 release (May 2024), you will no longer be able to download that zip file or access that app after that time.
