3320190 - Date format issues for different regions in Analysis for Office

There is a date format on database side and when displaying this date in Analysis for Office, depending on the region, this date can be either displayed as DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY and when changing its format manually to the one displayed on database level, the following warning comes in:

• "All selections for characteristic DATE_SQL are invalid and have been discarded".

The issue is placed when using F4 help and all other prompts related to variables.

1. Open a report in AO containing a variable related to date;
2. F4 help in the affected variable;
3. The date format will come up differently than the one presented on DB Level.

Parameter AllowLiteralMemberSelectionsInVariablesHana is set to TRUE in AO.

Change parameter AllowLiteralMemberSelectionsInVariablesHana to FALSE.

In case this parameter is not presented under path File -> Analysis -> Customize Analysis -> Technical Configuration -> search for AllowLiteralMemberSelectionsInVariablesHana, then:

1. Close your AO;
2. Search for AO on OS level;
3. Before running it, give a right click on the AO icon -> Run as administrator;
4. Look for the same setting once again.
