3320618 - How to save long bank account numbers with the same 18 first digits

Symptom

You have long bank account numbers with more than 18 digits. You followed the steps on SAP Note 1585003 - How to enter a long account number and updated the remaining digits into the "Reference Details" field (BUT0BK-BKREF).

However there are some bank accounts that have the same number until the 18 digit. Therefore, system is showing the message error R1228 "Bank Details ID * in the validity period are not unique".
