3322243 - Unable to remove scoping question "Do you want your service agents to record absences without any approval workflow using employee self-service?"

In business configuration work center, after deselecting the question  "Do you want your service agents to record absences without any approval workflow using employee self-service?" from scoping, it is not possible to complete the implementation project. The following errors occur:

• Error During Finish Project
• Currently unable to finalize these scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings or the productive data.
• If error messages are displayed, resolve them before you proceed.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Go to Implementation Projects view
3. Select the relevant project
4. Edit Project Scope
5. Go to Questions step
6. Expand  Human Resources > Time and Labor Management > Time Recording
7. Find the checkmark for the question: "Do you want your service agents to record absences without any approval workflow using employee self-service?"
8. Remove the checkmark
9. Click Next to last step and Finish
10. Errors appear

• This question allows service agents to maintain absences. If the question is unchecked, then a service agent will not be able to maintain any absence using Self Service.
• A veto check enables system to restrict the removal of selection of this question, if there are any absences maintained by any service agent.  And such absences exist in the system.

Identify the  absences due to which the system is not allowing this deployment, and perform the following steps to remove them:

1. Login with Service agent's User ID and password (or ask service agent to login into the system)
2. Go to Home work center
3. Go to Self-Service Overview   
4. Under Time, go to Maintain Absences
5. Select each and every line one by one and remove it for each year for which an absence is maintained.
6. After removing all the records, click on Save / Save and Close
7. Repeat the same steps for all the Service Agents mentioned above
8. After doing this, try doing scoping again and remove the question - Do you want your service agents to record absences without any approval workflow using employee self-service?
9. Click Next to last step and Finish
