After you activate a Business Function in the system (or via transport) and you check the associated Switch it is still deactivated.
If you check the Switch status in transaction SFW_BROWSER you receive the following error message:
'The switch has an incorrect state: switched off/deactivated. The correct state would be: switched on.'
